Stands approx. 14.3 hands. Rusty is a registered 11 year old golden palomino Saddlebred gelding. This horse is the sweetest boy and you’ll find—impeccable ground manners, loads and trailers quietly, stands patiently, brought up right, level headed. Fast, eager learner under saddle and harness, he will try if you ask—needs only gentle, light queues and will respond quietly; soft mouth. He runs to the gate, caught without question, and expects kisses on his muzzle after a ride or session—really loves people and partners with you and is truly a pleasure. Rusty opens his mouth for the bridle and likes to work; he’s broke to saddle and started with harness. Rusty has a walk, an extended walk, traditional trot, amazing racking action (think Paso Fino) and a canter – he has a nice, lovely neck bend when working. Rusty must have a light-handed experienced rider—there is a lot of speed and action under you—but he’s respectful and responsive; no evidence of anything other than gentle horsemanship training. He has not had issues with fencing, other horses or his feet; no known health issues.
