We offer private stall rentals at our facility for the duration of our auction event.

Coggins Test

All horses must have a negative Coggins test. The test must have been performed within six months of the date of sale.

Onsite Coggins testing is available, Coggins tests are 35.00 each.


Service Dogs

Service dogs only are allowed and must be leashed, harnessed, or tethered.

Take in for items to be sold on the Machinery Lot.

FRI. OCTOBER 2 – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

SAT. OCTOBER 3 – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

SUN. OCTOBER 4 – Closed

MON. OCTOBER 5 – 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

 

OCTOBER 6-10 – AUCTION TIME!

OCTOBER 6 starting at 9AM- Tack, Machinery, Guns, Cowboy Collectibles, Small Misc. (2 or 3 Rings)

OCTOBER 7 starting at 9AM– Tack, Carriages, Trailer, Wagons & Hitch Wagons, Machinery. (2 or 3 Rings)

OCTOBER 8 starting at 9AM – Catalog Draft Horses, Haflingers, Fjords, Morgans, & Standardbreds – Followed by Noncataloged Horses of the same

OCTOBER 9 starting at 9AM – Draft Crossbreds, Friesians, & Mules – Followed by Noncataloged Horses of the same

OCTOBER 10 starting at 9AM – Ponies, Gypsy & Gypsy Crossbreds, Dutch Harness, Light Driving, Miniatures, and Saddle Horses – Followed by Noncataloged Horses of the same


Commission Rates

Horse-Drawn Equipment (including miscellaneous items):

  • 20% on every tagged item under $50
  • 12% on every tagged item from $50 to $500
  • 10% on every tagged item from $501 to $1,000
  • 7% on every tagged item over $1,000

Every tagged item will be charged a minimum $4.00 commission. All no-sale items will be charged the same way. No-value items will be discarded if not picked up within two weeks after the sale.

All items must be removed within two weeks after the sale. Waverly Horse Sale is not liable for any items lost or stolen during the event. You are responsible for all items you purchase, regardless of the day of purchase.


Draft Horse & Draft Crossbred Commission

All cataloged horses will be charged a $25 non-refundable fee per head. 

A 7% commission will be charged on all draft horses, draft crossbreds, draft mules, haflingers, and fjords, whether cataloged or noncataloged. There will be a 4% commission, no sale charge, with a minimum of $50, on all draft horses, draft crossbreds, draft mules, haflingers, and fjords.  The yardage charge on horses and mules is $7 per head on sales and no-sales.


Pony, Light Horse, and Miniature Horse Commission

A $25 non-refundable fee per head will be charged for all cataloged horses. 

A 7% commission will be charged on all light horses, ponies, and miniatures. There will be a 4% commission on no-sales with a minimum of $25 on all light horses, ponies, and miniatures. The yardage charge on horses and mules is $7 per head on sales and no-sales.

ATTENTION SELLERS

Because of the unique nature of the Waverly Horse Sale, horses in this sale must be prepared to be shipped to all states. This requires an original Coggins test, A GID or Elisa (no copies or fax copies will be accepted).

The test must be performed within six months of the date of the sale. Each horse must arrive with a negative Coggins test or one must be performed upon arrival.

ATTENTION CANADIAN BUYERS

We will accept Canadian checks payable in US FUNDS.  We reserve the right to request a letter of credit from your bank guaranteeing the check payable in US funds.
