After five full days of auctions, thousands of visitors, and consignments from across the country, the Spring 2026 Waverly Horse Sale is officially in the books and what a week it was!
This year’s event marked the return of our five-day sale for the first time since 2010, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. From buyers and consignors to vendors and spectators, we heard nothing but positive feedback throughout the week.
The first two days featured tack, horse-drawn equipment, antiques, farm equipment, and miscellaneous consignments. By the end of Day 1, more than 2,000 lots had crossed the auction block, with 640 registered bidders participating in the sale. Day 2 kept the momentum going as we welcomed more than 1,100 registered bidders representing more than 20 states, bringing the two-day total to 3,300 lots sold.
The excitement continued as the horse sale got underway. Over the next three days, 820 horses sold to buyers representing 34 states and Canada, with approximately 2,200 bidder numbers issued throughout the week, including both in-person and online bidders. We were also excited to see our new five-day format come together just as we had hoped, and we’re looking forward to continuing it in the years ahead.
Draft cross horses once again proved to be a favorite among buyers, and strong demand was evident across many categories throughout the sale.
