Another Spring Waverly Horse Sale is in the books, and what an incredible three days it was!
We welcomed thousands of buyers, consignors, and spectators to Waverly for three busy days of auctions. From thousands of equipment and tack lots on the first day to more than 700 horses crossing the auction block over the following two days, it was a full week from start to finish.
The sale kicked off with approximately 3,500 lots of horse-drawn equipment, tack, antiques, collectibles, and miscellaneous items selling across four auction rings. The action continued into the horse sale, with more than 400 horses selling on the second day and another 300+ horses on the final day.
Prices remained strong throughout the horse sale, with the high-selling horse bringing $26,000. The top six horses averaged $22,750, while more than 60 horses sold for $10,000 or more.

Of course, putting on a sale of this size takes more than auctioneers and bid cards. Keeping everyone fed was an undertaking of its own! Over the three days, our crew served more than 200 pounds of beef, 100 pounds of potato salad, 100 pies, and 80 gallons of ice cream, along with plenty more.
To everyone who consigned, bought, bid online, attended, worked, or simply stopped by to enjoy the sale, thank you. We truly appreciate the continued support and the trust so many people place in Waverly Sales Company as their market.
After three long days, we may be tired, but we’re already looking forward to doing it all again. Thank you for another great Spring Waverly Horse Sale!
